Otto will portray Sabrina's more severe witch aunt, a devout member of the Church of Night who views her service to the Dark Lord as the highest calling. Zelda serves as the family's strict disciplinarian while fiercely protecting her niece Sabrina, played by Kiernan Shipka. Her relationship with sister Hilda (Lucy Davis) is described as reminiscent of the biblical Cain and Abel dynamic.

The untitled Sabrina project, which has received a 20-episode order, is being developed as a dark coming-of-age story blending elements of horror, the occult and witchcraft.
